FAQ

How long does credit repair take?

Results vary by individual situation. Most clients see initial improvements within 30-45 days, with significant progress over 3-6 months. Complex cases involving multiple issues may take longer.

What's the first step to working with you?

Schedule a free 15-minute consultation. We'll discuss your situation, review your goals, and determine which services best fit your needs. No commitment required.

Do you guarantee specific credit score increases?

No legitimate credit professional can guarantee specific point increases. What I guarantee is a thorough, lawful approach to addressing inaccuracies and building positive credit history.

Can you remove accurate negative information?

I only dispute information that is inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable. Accurate negative information generally remains until it ages off your report, though we can work on strategies to offset its impact.

What documents do I need to get started?

You'll need copies of your credit reports from all three bureaus, a valid ID, proof of address, and any relevant correspondence from creditors or collectors.

How is life coaching different from therapy?

Life coaching is forward-focused, goal-oriented, and practical. We work on where you want to go, not diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. I often recommend clients work with both a coach and therapist when appropriate.

What happens in a coaching session?

Sessions are conversations with purpose. We review progress on goals, work through obstacles, develop action plans, and build accountability. Each session ends with clear next steps.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. Most clients work with me virtually via video call. This allows flexibility in scheduling and eliminates travel time. In-person sessions are available in the Detroit metro area.

How often should I schedule coaching sessions?

Most clients benefit from bi-weekly sessions, especially when starting. As you build momentum, we may adjust to monthly check-ins. The monthly package includes four sessions.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Life happens. I ask for 24-hour notice when possible. Cancellations with less notice may forfeit the session fee, though I try to accommodate genuine emergencies.

What are my rights when dealing with debt collectors?

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act protects you from harassment, false statements, and unfair practices. Collectors cannot call before 8am or after 9pm, threaten you, or discuss your debt with others.

Should I pay a debt that's in collections?

It depends. Paying doesn't automatically remove it from your report, and paying an old debt can sometimes restart the clock. We analyze each situation to determine the best approach.

What's the difference between your services and a credit repair company?

I work with you personally, not through a call center. My approach combines credit repair with education and life coaching, addressing root causes rather than just symptoms.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. I understand that people seeking credit help often have limited resources. We can discuss payment arrangements that work for your situation during your consultation.

How do I know if I have a case for FCRA violations?

If creditors or bureaus fail to investigate disputes properly, report information they know is inaccurate, or continue reporting after you've proven an error, you may have grounds for action. The FCRA Review service evaluates this.
