Take a moment and think about where you were a year ago.
Think about the challenges you were facing.
The questions you didn't have answers to.
The goals you were still working toward.
The prayers you were praying.
The things you were hoping would somehow work themselves out.
Now look at where you are today.
I know it's easy to focus on what's next.
The next goal. The next level. The next accomplishment.
We're constantly looking ahead.
But every once in a while, it's important to stop and look behind you too.
Because when you do, you'll realize something:
You've come a long way.
You've handled situations that an earlier version of you wasn't prepared for.
You've learned lessons you couldn't have learned any other way.
You've grown through challenges that once felt impossible.
You've survived days that tested your faith, your patience, and your perseverance.
And you're still here.
Still growing.
Still moving forward.
Still becoming.
I know there are things you're still believing for.
I know there are goals you haven't reached yet.
But don't let what's left to accomplish make you overlook what you've already overcome.
Growth isn't always obvious when you're living through it.
Sometimes you only see it when you pause long enough to look back.
When I think about where I was a year ago, I realize that many of the things I was praying, planning, and working for are now part of my reality.
Not perfectly.
Not without new challenges.
But the growth is real.
And I'm willing to bet the same is true for you.
You are not the same person you were a year ago.
That's worth celebrating.
Not because you've arrived.
But because you've grown.
And the version of you from a year ago would be proud of the person you're becoming today.
Until next time,
Don
