We hear it all the time…
"Be your best self."
But if someone asked you right now—what does that actually look like for you? Could you answer it clearly?
Most people can't.
And that's the issue.
Because you can't grow into something you haven't defined. If you don't know what your "best self" looks like, you'll stay busy… but not intentional.
So let's make it simple.
Your best self isn't perfect. It's not someone who never struggles or never makes mistakes.
Your best self is just a more intentional version of who you already are.
Here's how to think about it:
1. How do I treat people at my best? More patient? More present? More understanding?
2. How do I spend my time at my best? What habits actually move my life forward?
3. How do I handle tough moments at my best? Not perfectly—but with more strength, more faith, more control?
That's it.
Your best self isn't some far-off version of you.
It's a standard you choose to live by—every day.
Not perfectly… but on purpose.
So take a few minutes today and define it.
Because once you're clear on who you're becoming… your decisions start to change.
And your life follows.
Until next time,
Don
